Nashville Ballet Collaboration

…But the flowers have yet to come February 13 -15, 2015

ballet

“This February the Nashville Ballet is reviving Gina Patterson’s wildly popular 2013 creation with Nashville-based singer/songwriter Matthew Perryman Jones, …but the flowers have yet to come. Emily Leonard lends her talents to this collaboration as she paints a large scale canvas during each performance. This ballet uses a perfect blend of dance, music and visual art to take the audience on an emotional journey.”

This time around, you have the opportunity to purchase a portion of the 22 foot long painting from the performance before it is even created. Half of the proceeds will be donated back to the ballet to help fund their day to day operations. Because of the nature of the piece (the fact that I’m essentially creating it in 3 nights onstage!), the price point is much lower than my studio paintings of the same size. By buying one of these panels, you get to watch your portion of the painting be created on stage, support the ballet, support the artist, and acquire a unique piece of artwork that holds the memory of the dance.

Here’s how it works: The piece will be parceled into twelve panels, each roughly 42″ x 46″. They will sell for $1,200 a piece, framed, varnished and ready to hang. Click on the chart below to choose and buy your panel. Click here to purchase tickets to the performance.

*If you would like to purchase a block of them, please contact me and I will extend a discount for multiples.
